January 11 2011
Blue Coat has announced the launch of its ProxyOne hybrid appliance.
The company said that integrating web filtering, malware and anti-virus scanning and on-box reporting for Web 2.0 applications without web security expertise, ProxyOne appliances can be deployed and configured in six steps by an IT person.
It said that it comes with pre-configured policies to deliver automatic software upgrades and immediate security updates. ProxyOne appliances also use advanced caching technologies and use a 'scan once, serve many' model so that businesses do not have to compromise performance for security.
Carrie Oakes, vice president and general manager of the ProxyOne business unit at Blue Coat, said: “By integrating web security technologies into a single appliance that is easy to deploy, configure and manage, a broader range of businesses can now benefit from our web security technology.”
